Boxborough, MA – April 9th 2008 — Artel Video Systems, a leading provider of video over fiber optics transport equipment, announces the release of new modules for the DL4000 Digital Video Transport System. The release of the DLC150E, DLC200, DLC100T, and DLM130 expand DL4000 capabilities to include Audio Embedding, Ethernet transport and expansion of DWDM capabilities.
The DLC150E embeds Analog or AES audio into an SDI video stream in addition to optical transport of all 270Mb/s services. The DLC200 is a 10/100/1000 Ethernet optical transceiver module while the DLC100T is a cost effective DWDM optical transport module for all digital video services including HD-SDI, SDI, DVB-ASI and ATSC HD-TV.
The DLM130 provides for monitoring and provisioning of DL4000 chassis via an innovative SNMP and Web based management module with integrated power supply. All these modules will be on display at NAB in Las Vegas
April 14th -17th Booth C3121.
The DL4000 is a new generation universal video transport system designed specifically for video backhaul and contribution applications. A small, rugged, modular chassis, the DL4000 combines the space efficiency of a 1RU chassis with the flexibility of multi-module systems. The platform features four hot-swappable function modules and dual hot-swappable power supplies in a single rack unit.
“2008 is a significant year in the development of the DL4000 Video Transport System. We have received product approval from all our major customers, acceptance of the platform has been high, and by the end of the year functionality will exceed our most optimistic targets,” said Richard Dellacanonica, President of Artel Video Systems. “The DL4000 development in addition to our continued support of DigiLink, DV6000 and MegaWav show Artel’s long term commitment and focus on the broadcast quality video over fiber transport market.”
