Boxborough, MA – April 16, 2007 – Artel Video Systems, a leading provider of video over fiber optics transport, announces the release of the DL4000 Fiber Transport System. You can see the new platform on display at NAB in Las Vegas from April 16th thru the
19th 2007 booth C1146.
The DL4000 is a new generation universal video transport system designed specifically for video backhaul and contribution applications. A small, rugged, modular chassis, the DL4000 combines the space efficiency of a 1RU chassis with the flexibility of multi-module systems. The platform features four hot-swappable function modules and dual hot-swappable power supplies in a single rack unit. On display at NAB will be the DL4000 chassis as well as the Multi-Rate Digital Video Transport Module, the 4 into 1 270MB/s Digital Video Time Division Multiplexer Module and several Optical Multiplexers designed for use in the chassis.
“We are excited to be in full production of the new platform, as are the customers who helped us make critical design decisions. They are eager to start using the DL4000 for their video contribution and backhaul applications,” said Richard Dellacanonica, President of Artel. “Artel’s Design Engineers are now leveraging the accumulated knowledge gathered from the successful DigiLink and DV6000 platforms to develop additional function modules. We expect to have a complete set by this time next year.”
